Spread across the region's most scenic locations, it’s as easy as packing your bags (and their favourite toy) and hitting the road. Here is our guide to the best dog-friendly caravan parks in Noosa.

 

Coolum Beach Holiday Park

Coolum Beach Holiday Park is a Noosa caravan park that’s pet-friendly and is minutes from Coolum Beach, a family and fur-friendly beach that’s patrolled year-round and is close to the Coolum Beach Boardwalk. The Boardwalk is a 1.6 km out-and-back walk that is leisurely, dog-friendly and takes around 20 minutes to complete.

  • Dog-friendly beaches: Dogs are permitted off-leash at all times on the beach from the Lions and Norrie Job Park at the northern end of Coolum Beach Holiday Park (Beach Access point 72), extending to Beach Access point 68, 1 km north of Stumers Creek car park.
  • Dog-friendly cafes: Aromas Noosa is around 20 minutes from the holiday park and is a Noosa icon where locals and holidaymakers meet. It’s open seven days a week and has a seasonal menu.
  • Park facilities for fur parents: Powered caravan sites, toilets, showers, BBQ areas, and laundry.

Noosa North Shore Retreat

Another Noosa caravan park that’s dog-friendly is Noosa North Shore Retreat. It is located amongst the pristine natural beauty of the Great Sandy National Park, so it has lots of activities for humans and pets, inside and outside the park.

  • Dog-friendly beaches: A dog-friendly spot on the Noosa North Shore is in the Cooloola Recreation Area which extends along the southern section of Cooloola's Teewah Beach, from Noosa North Shore to the Teewah township.
  • Dog-friendly cafes: Hastings Street is the centre of all the action in Noosa, and 10 Hastings Street Cafe offers delicious breakfasts and lots of atmosphere for your pooch to soak up.
  • Park facilities for fur parents: Ensuite, water/powered, powered, and non-powered sites, restaurant, bar, cafe, bottle shop, convenience store, BBQ area, showers, toilets, and laundry.

Ingenia Holidays Noosa North

Ingenia Holidays Noosa North is another dog-friendly caravan park in Noosa with a great location. Main Beach and the heart of Noosa, Hastings Street, is a 15-minute drive away. This spot loves fur babies!

  • Dog-friendly beaches: One of the most popular is the Noosa Spit at Noosa Heads, which lies just behind the Noosa Main Beach (dogs are prohibited here). However, dogs are allowed off-leash on a large section of the spit, extending out into the Noosa River and including the beaches on either side.
  • Dog-friendly cafes: Sunshine Social in Sunshine Beach is a pet-friendly cafe with a wonderful coastal vibe. From tasty breakfasts to midday pick-me-ups, your fur baby will be right at home here.
  • Facilities for fur parents: Powered grass and slab sites, heated swimming pool, pool table, camp kitchen, laundry, showers, and toilets.

Ingenia Holidays Noosa

Just ten minutes from Noosaville, Ingenia Holidays Noosa is close to all the action of Noosa with pet-friendly vibes galore. The site is also kid-friendly, with a heated pool, splash park and games room (and more).

  • Dog-friendly beaches: Sunshine Beach North is an off-leash beach with dogs permitted on the beach north of Seaview Terrace North. Pooches can play on the sand and paddle in the water, although the water can be rough, so wave-confident dogs will be more comfortable here.
  • Dog-friendly cafes: Jam Cafe in Sunshine Beach offers excellent coffee, amazing breakfast and lunch options, and a great pet-friendly atmosphere.
  • Facilities for fur parents: Large ensuite sites, ensuite sites fit to 17ft, powered sites fit to 17ft, and large powered sites, heated pool, BBQs, pool table, camp kitchen, amenities blocks, convenience store/kiosk, and laundry facilities.

Noosa North Shore Retreat

Another Noosa caravan park that’s pet-friendly is Noosa North Shore Retreat. Set among the stunning beauty of the Great Sandy National Park, it’s a 20-minute drive from Noosa and welcomes pets on the campsites.

  • Dog-friendly beaches: Located between Sunrise and Peregian Beach, Castaways Beach is an off-leash area extending nearly four kilometres. It offers fantastic zoomie fun for dogs, and for the bigger ones, a chance to frolic in the sometimes challenging surf. 
  • Dog-friendly cafes: Why bother travelling when you can enjoy a morning coffee in the retreat’s on-site cafe (with your fur baby in tow).
  • Facilities for fur parents: Ensuite, water/powered, powered, and non-powered sites, restaurant, bar, bottle shop, convenience store, showers and toilets.

Boreen Point Campground

Set on beautiful Lake Cootharaba, Boreen Point Campground is surrounded by serenity and shady, park-like surroundings. It’s also pooch-friendly and offers lots of opportunities for easy day trips to Noosa for more adventures.

  • Dog-friendly sightseeing: Renowned for its locally made artisan treasures, the Original Eumundi Markets is Australia’s biggest and best artisan market. And it loves leash-loving dogs!
  • Dog-friendly restaurants: Zachary’s in Noosaville claims to have the best gourmet pizza around. It’s also pet-friendly, with outdoor seating perfect for fellow doggie-watching.
  • Facilities for fur parents: Powered and unpowered sites, laundry facilities, showers, toilets, camp kitchen, BBQ, and charging points.

Pomona Caravan Park

Pomona Caravan Park is one of the more affordable pet-friendly caravan parks in Noosa with beautiful views of Mt. Cooroora. The town of Pomona is a lovely hinterland town with a hotel, art galleries, and a weekly country market. It is also home to the Noosa Country Show, held in September every year.

  • Dog-friendly sightseeing: Only 20 minutes away is a ferry adventure your fur baby will love. Travelling regularly between Tewantin and Noosa Heads, if you have a lap-sized dog, they are welcome aboard (at no charge!)
  • Dog-friendly restaurants: Grenny’s in Noosaville is a pet-friendly eatery known for its friendly atmosphere and diverse menu.
  • Facilities for fur parents: Powered sites with cement pads and metered electricity, camp kitchen, hot showers, toilets, shared social areas, and washing machines/dryers.
